Pogy, Jenna, and Rtas all sat around a table in Jenna's kitchen. They had returned from Mt. Coronet barely an hour ago and Pogy had asked to speak with both of them.

"So I guess you're both wondering what I wish to speak to you about."

"Yep, spill it Pog." Rtas replied

"It regards Dark Oak, but I'm sure you both already knew that much."

"Well considering most things that would be highly likely." Jenna replied

"So what about him?"

"I think I know exactly where he is going."

"Where then?"

"He spoke "Go back to start" to me while at Coronet. You two were out of earshot considering how low he was speaking. He's going back to Origin, where he first appeared I think."

"Why would he tell us where he was going?"

"I don't know."

"Sounds like a set up to me."

"I'll have to agree with Rtas, something doesn't seem right about this."

"It's the only lead we have. I for one am gonna go back to Origin and confront him. He'll be there I'm sure of it. You two can stay here for all I care." Pogy got up from his seat.

"What makes you so sure Poldi? Huh?"

"Because I think I know him." Pogy whispered

"What?"

Pogy walked out of the house before answering Rtas.

"Stubborn idiot!" Rtas exclaimed

'Take it easy, I'm sure he has good reasons for thinking the way he does."

"Then why won't he tell us why Jenna?"

"I don't know, and you know him better. If you don't know then only he does."

"He's always been so mysterious in a sense. He's never been straightforward very often and most of the time anything of importance he has to say he tells you basically as a riddle."

"But has he ever led you a stray?"

"No… Pogy taught me everything I know as a trainer. He's always been truthful in the end, and I don't think anyone cares more about their friends than him."

"So are you gonna go to Origin with him?"

Rtas sighed "It's against my better judgment, but if he's walking into a trap… I won't let him go down alone."

"I'm in than too."

"You sure?"

"More sure than I was when I decided I wanted to build this ranch."

Rtas chuckled "You know you remind me so much of a good friend of mine."

"I'll take that as a compliment."

Pogy stood on the cliff overlooking the sea as he did quite often during his stay. Rex wasn't too far away and was on his way to join his trainer.

"Rex?"

"What is it sir?" Rex questioned taking position beside Pogy

"Do you think it's the right thing to go back to Origin, not even knowing that Dark Oak will be there?"

"I don't know sir."

"Rtas and Jenna doubt me on it, I'm almost sure of that."

"Sir if I could say something."

"Go ahead and you know you never need permission."

"When I had just evolved and gained all my new powers, I was never sure of myself and what I should have done. Then after I developed my telepathy I asked you myself. You replied to me "Rex whenever you're not sure what you should do, whether or not it's right or wrong. Just listen to your heart, it will never fail you." I did just that and I came through alright. Why shouldn't you sir?"

Pogy chuckled "Rex, you know I just don't know where I would be sometimes without somebody like you at my side."

"Thank you sir."

"Still sometimes your heart becomes conflicted. I very well think mine is at the moment."

"Why is that sir?"

"Because part of it feels like I'd meet my end if I go. The other part tells me to go, that someone is counting on me. Someone who I thought was long gone Rex."

"What do you mean?"

"Dark Oak, called me Poldi today Rex. Only my closest friends know my real name Rex."

"How do you know Dark Oak just isn't playing with your mind?"

"Because Rex I… I think he asked me to help him."

"I don't understand, sir"

"Rex Dark Oak said a good few things back there. He referred to me by Poldi. I think he called me friend… He told me that he was hurting, Rex."

"I still don't fully understand sir."

"I'll be truthful Rex, I don't understand either. This is the most confused I've ever been."

"So what will you do sir?"

"We're going back… back to Origin."

"So you're sure you're gonna want to go?" Rtas asked

"I'm still very sure. My mind is made up." Jenna replied

The two of them exited the house to see Pogy and Rex standing nearby.

"What are you two up to?"

"We're going with you to Origin Pogy. Trap or not." Rtas replied

"I was afraid you'd say that."

"We're not going to let you go alone." Jenna said "Very well get ready. There's a boat to Origin arriving in Canalave City in about an hour."

Jenna ran around the ranch, gathering her team. She collected Veruka, Vincent, Rupert, Ross, and Saria into their balls and returned to Pogy and Rtas. Pogy was already on Celestine's back.

"Well, you ready Jenna?" Pogy asked

"Yeah, I got everyone I need."

"Then let's be on our way."

Rtas released his Tropius from its ball and hopped onto its back. Jenna released Matthew from his ball and got on his back.

"Bare with me one more time Matthew."

The three trainers all lifted off on their Pokémon and began to fly north to Canalave. Fortunately for the three of them Jenna's ranch wasn't very far from the city. The three of them glided over Lake Verity, which was just south of Canalave and just north of Jenna's ranch. It was hard to tell that Dark Oak ever trended on the island that sat in the middle of the lake.

They soon soared over a rugged but not quite mountainous area and the buildings of Canalave were in sight. They continued their flight till reaching the docks, where they all landed and recalled their fliers.

They all walked down the pier towards a rather nice sized ship. Pogy suddenly came to a stop in the middle of the pier.

"You two, I have a request if you would listen." He spoke

"What is it Pog?" Rtas questioned

"I don't know what waits back in Origin. So I'm going to ask this. Please will you two stay behind? I don't want either of you getting hurt or killed."

"Nope, we won't. We both have already made up our minds on this Pogy."

"Yeah, we're going one way or another."

"This is my fight though, I'm the only reason you two ever got involved."

"Pog, if we wanted to let you go it alone or if we didn't want to be involved we would have quit a while back."

"He's right, and besides whatever happens, happens."

"Then for my sake don't come with me."

"Can't do it Pog, this is our fight now too."

"Yeah, you aren't alone in this." Jenna stuck out her fist. "All for one?" Rtas stuck his fist out and put it with Jenna's. Pogy looked down at their fists and then back at their faces. Pogy closed his eyes and smiled.

"You're both idiots you know."

"Yeah, you're one too." Rtas replied

Pogy laughed. He stuck out his fist and placed it with theirs. "And one for all." They all pulled their fists away from each other. "Let's make this our final confrontation. If he's there either we leave or he leaves."

"Deal." Jenna replied

"I decided I was gonna see this through to the end so, deal." Rtas replied

They all walked onto the ship and just a few minutes later the ship set out to the sea on course to Origin. Jenna released all of her team she had brought with her except for Matthew.

"You guys can do what you. Just don't go get into trouble. Also my room is the first door on the right down the stairs. We most likely won't be arriving till sometime tomorrow morning, so get comfortable." Jenna made her way back to where Pogy and Rtas were at.

Ross and Saria made their way to the front of the ship.

"Well you two I'm gonna find the mess hall and see if I can score some Pokecola." Said Rupert.

"Alright good luck with that Rupert." Vincent replied

"Hey you know me." He said as his way to the stairway leading below the deck.
Veruka began walking towards the stairs also.

"Where are you going Veruka?" Vincent asked her

"To our master's room, I don't care much for boats."

"I'll join you, besides it's a little chilly out here."

The two of them walked down the stairs into the ship's inner area. They went through the first door on the right as Jenna had said. Surely enough some of Jenna's belongings were laying on the bed in the room. Vincent closed the door behind them in an attempt to keep the cold air out.

Veruka sat in the corner on the room.

"Guess we have a big day ahead of us huh?" Vincent spoke

"I suppose, this is gonna be it though. I don't think we're gonna be backing down until it's finished."

"Yeah, it's not really the best thought. Either us or him I'm going to assume."

"Nothing to worry about, what happens, happens."

"I can't help but to worry some." Vincent said as he took a seat by Veruka. "I mean what would happen if one of us ended up dying?"

"I don't tend to think that way."

"Veruka, are you afraid of you know? Someone or either yourself dying?"

"Of course I am. Nobody can really say they're not somewhat afraid of dying. I just tend not to think much about it, if its gonna happen it will happen nothing will stop it."

"I personally hope it doesn't I don't wanna lose anyone, namely you."

"You won't."

Vincent shivered. "I think it's getting colder as time goes on."

Veruka put her arm around Vincent. "Better?"

"A little."

"It'll all be over with soon, I can feel it."

"Yeah, I think you're right." Both remained quiet for a few moments. "I still remember earlier today."

"Of course you do."

"You still gonna keep your promise?"

"I have all intentions to."

"Just wish we would've had time for a session before we set out."

"You'll just have to rely on your own battling skills for this."

"I guess so."

"But Vincent after all this is over; I have something I feel is important that I want to tell you."

"Oh?"

"Yeah, but only after this is over. I need a clear slate before I do."

Vincent let out a yawn. "I'm still pretty beat from the past few days."

"Which reminds me how are you holding up?"

"Well barely any soreness left, but I'm still just a little bit down."

"Well try not to be, it's who you already are that we care about. Not what you could be."

"Thanks. You telling me this stuff has made me come to a decision."

"What might that be?"

"I'll fight for you and you alone tomorrow Veruka."

"No, we'll fight together."

"That would be even better." Vincent leaned against Veruka. "Well I'm gonna try to get some sleep, I'm gonna need it for tomorrow."

"Alright Vincent."

"Good night Veruka."

"Good night Vincent."

The hour had grown late and Vincent had been asleep for about three hours. Veruka had also nodded off at this point; she was rather tired out from the battles earlier. Her tail had somehow found its way into Vincent's hands where he had a loose grip on it.

Jenna opened the door and stepped in. After she shut and locked it she noticed both Veruka and Vincent. "Well what do you know. So this is where you two have been hiding this whole time." Jenna took a seat on the bed and pulled her shoes off and then looked at Veruka and Vincent again. "Their adorable like that. They both look so peaceful. I think I'll let them stay out of their balls tonight, since their both already asleep." Jenna removed her coat and threw it aside with her shoes. "It's time for me to sleep also I think." Jenna laid face down on the bed.

The hours passed and the night slipped to morning. Jenna and Vincent were both still asleep, while Veruka as usual was already awake. Veruka could see the sun beginning to shine through the window.

"So it begins." Veruka whispered to herself. She looked at Vincent who was still sound asleep. "With any luck I'll be able to keep that promise to you." Veruka had had enough of being confined to the same position that the sleeping Vincent had put her in. She began to gently shake him in an attempt to wake him. "Wake up, Vincent" She spoke as she continued to shake him.

It wasn't long before he let out a yawn and opened his eyes. "Morning Veruka."
"Morning Vincent."

"Man that was a nice sleep."

"Good, because you were gonna need it."

"Looks like Jenna is still asleep though." He said as he looked at Jenna on the bed.

"She'll be up soon. We'll also be making landfall soon."

"Not sure if I'm ready for this."

"Highly doubt any of us are. I mean we really don't have an idea what to expect this time."

Jenna shifted in her sleep.

"Well she's moving now so guess she'll be up soon." Vincent said

"Yeah, and we'll be heading to our assumed battlefield very soon as well."

"Yeah, I just kinda hope he's turns up not there."

"I hope he is so we can put an end to this once and for all."

"Like you said, we'll know soon enough."

Jenna sat up rubbing her eyes. She reached over to a nearby nightstand and grabbed her glasses and put them on. She turned to see Veruka and Vincent both still together.

"Well, I see you two are awake already."

"Cario." Vincent replied

"Never seen you two being as close together as you were last night." Jenna got off the bed and put her shoes and coat on. "Hope you two are ready for a big day." Jenna made her way to the door and opened it. "Come on you two, it's probably not too long before we hit shore."

Vincent and Veruka both got up and followed Jenna out of the room and back onto the ship's deck. Once they were topside again they saw Pogy standing at the very front of the ship and Rtas was nearby sitting on a crate with his head down. Jenna walked up to the two of them.

"There it is just on the horizon, my homeland." Pogy spoke just before taking a puff of a cigar.

"So that's it eh?" Jenna asked

"Indeed that is Origin; we'll be there within the hour I wager."

"So where are we going to go once we get there?"

'To the place where Dark Oak first appeared. The Town of Skygger more commonly known as the town of black oaks."

"Black oaks huh?"

"Yes, there's a reason Dark Oak was labeled Dark Oak. Because he first appeared in the town of black oaks, his cloak looked like the bark on the black oak trees. Because of the so called dark aura and feeling around him and his cloak's color he was labeled Dark Oak."

"I see."

"To think this may be ending where it all started."

"So what would he want at that town."

"There is or more so was a set of ruins near that town."

"What do you mean by was?"

"Remember those ruins I told you about."

"The ones that told of that great darkness thing?"

"Yes, they disappeared not long after I left them and returned. I remember it vividly because I lost Bowen that day."

"Oh yeah, you told me you lost a friend named Bowen."

"Maybe it's time you heard the full story."

"I'm all ears."

"Bowen was with me when I read about that great darkness. During our exploration, a hole that lead deeper into the ruins opened up and we tampered with some nearby structure. The hole was pitch black and Bowen wanted to go inside to look. I tried to persuade him against it but he was too stubborn. So he went in, and a few minutes later the hole collapsed. I tried to dig past the rubble but it was too much so I ran to town as fast as I could to get help. But when I got back with help, those ruins were gone."

"You mean they just disappeared into mid air."

"That was how it seemed. It baffled the authorities and all the other people there that were studying them."

"So you think he's going there."

"That's my guess or at least it was what he made out as what he intended to do."

"Well we'll find out soon enough. How long by flight to get to those ruins once we hit land?"

"About two hours considering where we are landing."

Rtas suddenly jumped and almost fell off the crate. "Woah sorry I dozed off there, what I miss?"

"Nothing too important, aside from the fact we're almost there."

"Ah, it will be good to be home again after so long."

"Would be nicer if it were under different circumstances."

"I have faith."

Pogy tossed his cigar into the water below. "I hope both of you are ready for this."
"Ready and willing."

"Yeah, I'm ready too." Jenna replied

It wasn't long before the boat to its stop at a small port town. The three trainers wasted no time getting their fliers out.

"So what's the big mountain in the distance?" Jenna asked

"It's more of an active Volcano. We simply call it Infinity Mountain." Rtas said

"It's almost nonstop eruptions in a far past was thought to form all of Origin. It's a very scared place so to speak in Origin. The mother of the world you could say." Pogy replied

"It's probably the tallest mountain I've ever seen."

"It's the tallest in the entire world some think. We won't be getting anywhere near it though."

"Pity."

"We're flying to the north, its directly east of us."

"Gives you some incentive to come back one day." Rtas said

"Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing this entire place."

"Just be sure to return during a warmer time. Surprised it's not snowing."

"Enough, we're wasting time so let's go." Pogy spoke

Celestine lifted off and started flying to the north. Jenna and Matthew, and Rtas and his Tropius set off following Pogy and Celestine.

It took about as long as Pogy had said on the boat as they had flown for close to two hours and the sight of a massive forest of black oak trees were below them. Dark storm clouds cluttered the sky for miles. It wasn't too long before a small town came into view and Celestine and Pogy began their descent into the town. Jenna and Rtas followed. They landed just on the outskirts of the town.

"Here we are." Pogy spoke as he returned Celestine to her ball.

"Really stormy." Jenna replied as she returned Matthew to his ball.

"A good sign?" Rtas spoke also returning his flier to its ball.

"Judging by these clouds, I'd say he spoke truthfully to me. Now the question is why?"

"I still think it smells kinda like a trap."

"What ever happens, we'll face it together." Jenna spoke

"The ruins are out this way, through the nearby brush." Pogy said pointing at a road that led into a wall of black oak trees.

The three of them all walked over to the path and into the brush.

"Well I have a feeling this is it. We finish it here, we give it all we got no holding back." Pogy said

"Yeah I agree, we end it here." Rtas replied

They emerged from the brush to see a rather large set of ruins.

"So they are back, there's more to them than before." Pogy spoke.

They walked a bit closer and a wall of dark clouds formed in the way of the path they had just came from.

"Looks like someone doesn't want us to leave." Rtas said

"He's here for sure."

They reached the center of the ruins. In the very center of the area stood four ruined pillars. Directly ahead of the three trainers stood a stone formation stairs leading up to a platform that stood in front of a wall with numerous symbols on it. Smaller buildings with large stone slabs blocking the paths down into them were to the left and the right of the trainers.

"He's nowhere in sight." Jenna said.

They all looked around, there was no trace of Dark Oak aside from the demon sky that was above them and surrounding the general area.

"Dark Oak! Show yourself coward!" Pogy yelled out. "You told me you were coming here! Now show yourself!"

Just as Pogy finished a black mist formed on top of the stone platform ahead of them. From the mist Dark Oak emerged

"I hurt… Friends!" he exclaimed

"How about you come down here and say that to my face!" Rtas exclaimed

Dark Oak took a few steps forward and stopped at the top of the stairs. "End… it… all…"

"We won't let you get away with anything else it ends here and now Dark Oak!" Pogy exclaimed

Dark Oak emitted a screech. He extended two pitch black claws from his cloak and a pokeball formed in each. Two pokemon were released and two more balls appeared again until six pokemon were out. A Tyranitar, Honchkrow, Weavile, Drapion, Shiftry, and a Houndoom. All of them had pupil less eyes and their colors were only black, white, and gray.

"This is it,  both of you teams out."

"Alright everyone assume battle positions!" Rtas exclaimed throwing six pokeballs into the air. Out of them came Nova, Aaron, Bandit, a Claydol, a Mismagius, and a Vaporeon.

Pogy threw up six pokeballs. Out of them came Lily, Rex, Volkhan, Cyril, a Bronzong, and a Magmortar.

Jenna released Vincent, Veruka, Rupert, Ross, and Saria from their balls.
"No matter what happens, we all stand together!" Pogy exclaimed

The six pokemon Dark oak had unleashed all charged forward.

"Everyone raise hell!"

All three of the trainer's pokemon charged forward.

Pogy's Magmortar and Ross both launched bolts of lightning at the Honchkrow. It dodged with ease and came to a spot and began flapping its wings fiercely sending shard of ice. Ross began to dodge but Pogy's Magmortar took a Position in front of Ross and the ice shards all melted before even making contact with the Magmortar.

"Hey thanks for the defense…um…"

"Cabose, is the name and take a gander at this." He held up his right arm and his claws withdrew into his flesh and a ball of lava shot out from the hole within his arm. The Honchkrow  narrowly dodged it and gained some height.

Lily and Cyril both charged at the Tyranitar.

"I got the left." Lily said

"Just knock him my way my love." Cyril replied

Lily moved towards the left and Cyril moved to the right. Cyril unleashed a stream of fire towards the Tyranitar to catch its attention. The Tyranitar turned towards him and began to build up an orb of dark purple energy in its mouth. Before it could launch its attack Lily slammed her tail into the Tyranitar. The Tyranitar lost the orb of energy and stumbled forward. Cyril unleashed a stream of water from his mouth at the Tyranitar. The Tyranitar was thrown back by the burst of water but remained on its feet. Lily slammed her foot onto the ground causing a violent tremor, knocking the Tyranitar over onto the ground. Cyril unleashed a roar and several rifts appeared above him and multiple meteors shot out from them all colliding with the Tyranitar causing a large blast.

Rex and Aaron both got on different sides of the Weavile.

"Rematch time, I do think I owe you one ruffed up arm." Rex spoke

Rex charged forward and threw a flurry of punches at the Weavile. The Weavile blocked as many punches as it could. Aaron launched an aura sphere at the Weavile while Rex was still throwing punches. Rex quickly dropped to his back and slid forward knocking the Weavile off its feet. The Aura sphere hit the Weavile still in middle of its fall sending it flying a few yards behind Rex. Rex gave Aaron a thumbs up.

Nova, Rupert, and Rtas' Claydol all confronted the Drapion. The Drapion wasted no time at launching a huge blast of shadow energy at the three of them. The Claydol moved in front of them and projected a bright barrier that stopped the blast in its track.

"Awesome going Temporus!" Nova exclaimed

Rupert charged forward he leapt up his fist becoming engulfed in flames. He slammed his fist right into the Drapion's head. The Drapion roared and swung its arm knocking Rupert back. Nova then  slammed her foot into the ground causing a trail of edged stones to burst out of the ground and trail towards the Drapion. It slammed one of its claws on the ground causing a large stone to burst up in front of it causing the trail of stones to crash into it. Nova quickly leapt over the stone trail and the stone the Drapion had produced. Her body became engulfed in flames and she slammed into the Drapion sending it flying back.

"Nice one there Nova, I can kinda see how you managed to beat Veruka." Rupert

"Thanks, and you're kinda cute."

"Yeah. Wait what?!"

Veruka, Vincent, and Rtas'  Vaporeon charged towards the Houndoom. Veruka hit the ground and slid into the Houndoom kicking it up into the air. A stream of water hit the Houndoom sending it flying back. Veruka got back to her feet.

"Nice to have a Vaporeon on our side for fighting a fire type." Veruka spoke

"Yeah, what's your name by the way?" Vincent asked

"Neptune."

The Houndoom pounced on Veruka while her back was turned. Vincent charged forward and threw at punch knocking the Houndoom off of Veruka. Neptune unleashed another stream of water at the Houndoom sending it flying back. Veruka charged forward and kicked the Houndoom a few yards back.

Volkhan, Bandit, Rtas' Mismagius, and Pogy's Bronzong charged towards the Shiftry. Rtas' Mismagius unleashed a gust of cold wind at The Shiftry slowing its movement. Bandit charged forward and slashed at the Shiftry with its claws in an X shaped pattern. The Shiftry stumbled backwards but quickly regained its balance. The Shiftry unleashed a wave of shadow energy at Bandit, but Pogy's Bronzong quickly moved into its path and brought up a bright barrier stopping the energy wave. Volkhan charged through the barrier and unleashed a torrent of flames at the Shiftry. The Shiftry shrieked in pain upon being engulfed by the flames before falling to the ground. A purple glow engulfed the Shiftry and it got back to its feet unharmed.

"Our pokemon have everything under control, let's go after Dark Oak ourselves." Pogy said

"Sounds good." Rtas replied

The three of them ran for the stairs leading up to where Dark Oak stood. The Tyranitar moved into their path and prepared to unleash a huge blast of shadow energy. Before it could Lily slammed into it knocking it out of the trainers' paths.

"Move!" Pogy exclaimed

The three of them pushed forward.  Each shadow pokemon of Dark Oak's that tried to take a shot at them from behind in an attempt to stop them from reaching Dark Oak were stopped by the trainers' pokemon.

Dark Oak brought his claws in front of himself just slightly away from his chest. A ball of shadow energy began to form between his hands.

"Dark Oak!" Pogy exclaimed running up the stairs. Pogy threw a punch at Dark Oak, but he easily leapt back dodging it, still holding the ball of energy. "It ends here!"

"Do… not… interfere…"

"Oh shut up!" Pogy swung again but Dark Oak slipped out of the way to behind Pogy. "Damn it hold still!"

Dark Oak prepared to release the ball of energy but just before he could Pogy threw a punch. His punch landed directly on the side of Dark Oak's head. The ball of energy went flying into the air and Dark oak fell back and down the stairs. Rtas and Jenna at the bottom of the stairs both leapt out of the falling Dark Oak's path.
"I hit him! I can't believe I actually hit him!" Pogy exclaimed

The ball of energy that Dark Oak had held shot forward into the ground directly in the middle of the four ruined pillars in the center of the area. Dark Oak came to a stop a face down on the ground few feet from the bottom of the stairs. Pogy ran down the stairs to Jenna and Rtas.

"Nice right hook you got their Pog." Rtas jokingly spoke

"Let's finish this piece of filth."

Dark Oak got to his feet facing away from the trainers. However he was missing one element that he wasn't until this moment.

"His hood…" Jenna spoke

Smooth black hair was visible on the back of his head. He turned to face the trainers. Pogy's eyes shot as wide open as they could. The front of his head had spiked hair that almost covered his right eye. The right side of his face and everything from chin was pitch black. The true color of his flesh remained on the left side of his face with his left eye. His left eye was wide open and bloodshot, but it was still possible to make out a green pupil. His mouth was part way open and his face was locked in a general express of terror.

"Bowen!" Pogy exclaimed

The ground suddenly began to rumble violently and all of the pokemon, Dark Oak's and the three trainers alike ceased their fighting. The ground in the center of the area began to collapse in dragging the four ruined pillars down. From the hole emerged a large pitch black stone.

Pogy slowly staggered towards Bowen. "Bowen, it was you… all along… it was you…I thought… I had… lost you…"

Suddenly a beam of dark purple energy struck Bowen. The beam came from the pitch black stone that had been exposed. Bowen was lifted a few feet off the ground and all of the pitch black flesh on him reverted back to normal. Six more beams of dark purple energy struck all of Dark Oak's pokemon. They all were lifted up a few feet into the air.

"What's going on!? What the hell is this stone?!" Rtas exclaimed

The beams from the stone ceased and all six of the shadow pokemon and Bowen gently dropped about a foot from the ground where they all began to drift. Pogy still walked towards Bowen almost in a trance like state. Right when Pogy reached out to touch Bowen It was tossed back as a faint purple crystal encased Bowen and all six of the shadow pokemon.

The tremor began again and what sounded like a heartbeat pulsated from the large black stone in the center of the area. Suddenly a massive black shadow burst up from the stone. Two red eyes formed at the shadow's peak. Several long black tentacles sprang from the shadow's form.

Rtas and Jenna both ran up to Pogy who was still in a trance like state.

"Pogy snap out of it!" Rtas exclaimed

"He's alive… he's been alive this whole time…"

"Damn it Pogy!" Rtas slapped Pogy as hard as he could

Pogy shook his head about finally coming to his senses. "What's going on?"

"How did you know that would work?" Jenna questioned

"It always works in the movies so I figured it would be worth a shot."

"Never thought that would work."

"You didn't have to slap me that hard though." Pogy spoke

"Pogy what is that thing?" Rtas replied pointing towards the huge black shadow.

"I'm not even sure."

An orb of shadow energy was launched from the shadow up into the sky. The clouds grew pitch black and lightning began to strike the land all around.

"Wait that stone. Could it be a Darkkarain stone?"

"Wait, a Darkkarain stone?" Jenna questioned

"From what a lot of old text tells a Darkkarain stone is a vessel of huge amounts of Dark energy. Other than that there's really not much mentioned about them. These ruins must have marked it being buried here alongside the great darkness."

"And that big shadow coming from it?" Rtas asked

"I'm not too sure, but if I had to guess that's Dark Oak."

"Wait what?"

"It makes sense now. Dark Oak was using Bowen as a puppet so he could move around looking for one of the stones. That big shadow has to represent the true form of Dark Oak."

"So if Dark Oak was sealed here why didn't he do this sooner?"

"Maybe he didn't know until recently." Jenna replied

"That's very possible. Everyone!" Pogy called out to all of their Pokémon. "Everyone focus your attacks on that shadow."

All of their Pokémon moved towards Dark Oak. Cabose unleashed a large lightning bolt at Dark Oak. The attack didn't even faze Dark Oak and he swung one of his tentacles  out and knocked Cabose aside. Veruka gathered energy in her palm and launched a focus blast at Dark Oak. Like Cabose her attack didn't even faze Dark Oak on Impact and Dark Oak launched an orb of shadow energy at her. Veruka dodged the orb quickly as it collided with the ground generating a large blast.
Rex and Aaron both launched aura sphere at Dark Oak. Before the sphere hit Dark Oak they stopped in mid air and turned pitch black and shot back at Rex and Aaron. Both of them dodged as the two spheres hit the ground generating a large blast once again.

Dark Oak emitted a roar and multiple orbs of shadow formed around him. All of the orbs launched at the Pokémon. All of them made actions to dodge, but with as many orbs that were launched if they dodge an orb the blast from another hitting the ground hit them. Most of the Pokémon were now on the ground after being hit by the blasts.

"This isn't good, he's wiping the floor with them." Rtas spoke

"Your right, but we said we wouldn't hold anything back." Pogy replied. "In truth I've been holding something back." Pogy brought out a small whistle. "I promised myself I would only use this if it was completely necessary." Pogy blew the whistle.

"I don't get it what did that do, make him deaf or something?" Rtas spoke

The clouds suddenly grew silent and calm. A roar was emitted from high above.

"What was that?" Jenna asked

"The sound of our last shot at bringing Dark Oak down." Pogy replied

A Rayquaza burst down from above the clouds and flew straight at the trainers. It drifted just above the ground.

"Hello again my old friend." Pogy said approaching the Rayquaza.

"Okay Pogy by all means explain." Rtas said

"I helped this Rayquaza a long time ago, and in turn I took this whistle and made a simple request. Should I ever find myself in a dire straight that if I blew the whistle the Rayquaza would come to my aid. And he kept that promise as you can see."

"Well this is just perfect, we may actually have a chance now." Jenna said

"Rayquaza, please help us defeat that shadow known as Dark Oak."

The Rayquaza turned and roared. He shot forward towards Dark Oak, unleashing a hyper beam directly into Dark Oak. Dark Oak roared and responded by launching an orb of shadow at the Rayquaza. The Rayquaza swung its tail knocking the orb up into the sky. It unleashed a furious burst of energy form its mouth at Dark Oak. Dark Oak roared and launched more shadow orbs. The Rayquaza charged forward dodging each orb and finally when it reached Dark Oak it coiled itself around him and sunk its fangs into Dark Oak.

All of the trainers' Pokémon were getting back to their feet.

"Dark Oak is distracted everyone attack again!" Veruka exclaimed

Cabose unleashed a lightning bolt, Veruka unleashed a Focus blast, Rex and Aaron both launched aura spheres, Saria unleashed a storm of edged leaves, Ross launched a lightning bolt, Cyril unleashed a stream of water, and Volkhan unleashed a torrent of flames. All the attacks hit Dark Oak causing a large blast and emitting a roar from Dark Oak. A large shadow burst from Dark Oak's form and drifted over to the trainers' Pokémon. The shadow took the shape of a Darkrai and lunged towards all of the Pokémon. They all dodged its initial attacks, but it quickly launched a wave of dark energy in all directions. It hit most of the Pokémon bringing them to their knees. Rex and Aaron both managed to dodge and both of them launched aura spheres at the shadow. The sphere collided with the shadow with a large blast.

A focus blast launched from the smoke of the blast catching both Rex and Aaron off guard. The blast knocked them to the ground. The shadow drifted down till it was just off the ground, it thrust its claws into the ground and a black shadow began to consume the ground. When the black shadow touched the Pokémon they collapsed to the ground asleep.

The Rayquaza uncoiled from Dark Oak and flew up and swung its tail slamming it into Dark Oak. Dark Oak launched more orbs Rayquaza again. The Rayquaza dodged them and unleashed a ball of blue energy at Dark Oak. The ball of energy collided with Dark Oak causing a large blast. Dark Oak emitted a roar and a massive bolt of pitch black lightning struck the Rayquaza throwing it to the ground.
"Rayquaza!" Pogy exclaimed

"This isn't good, if he's down nobody is left to fight Dark Oak." Jenna said

"Come on guys you gotta all wake up!" Rtas yelled

Beams of Dark purple energy shot forth from Dark Oak hitting all of the trainers' Pokémon. Each and every one of them awakened, but were all immediately consumed by pain. Three beams shot out towards the three trainers. The Rayquaza roared and a barrier formed around the three trainers blocking the beam from them. The Rayquaza emitted another roar before collapsing again being struck by the same purple beam as the rest had been.

"Rayquaza used the last of its energy to protect us." Jenna spoke

"Rex! You gotta break free!" Pogy called out

Rex struggled within the beam but gave all his strength and he called on his aura. He dispersed the beam that was striking him and his aura formed a protective barrier that kept any other beams from hitting him.

"Aaron! Use your aura!" Rex called out

Aaron called on all of his strength and his aura was released. The beam dispersed from him and the same barrier formed around him as it did Rex.

"This beam its draining everyone's energy." Aaron spoke

"We're the last two standing, it's up to us now." Rex replied

They both approached Dark Oak. As they looked down they noticed Dark Oak's form was being emitted from the Darkkarain stone.

"What do you think would happen if we destroyed that stone?" Aaron questioned

"It's worth a shot."

The two of them launched aura spheres at the stone. The stone was unfazed but Dark Oak emitted a roar and swung its tentacles at Rex and Aaron tossing them aside. They both got back to their feet.

"Its no good we're not strong enough."

"Vincent…" Veruka spoke as she was suspended in the beam beside Vincent.

"Veruka, hold on we'll get out of this!" Vincent replied

"Vincent… I'm sorry but I don't think I'll be able to keep my promise to you."

"No Veruka, you will just please hold on."

"I'm…sorry…" Veruka spoke just before losing consciousness.

"Veruka! Veruka wake up!"

Rex and Aaron launched their aura spheres again at the stone to no success.

"Nothing works, no matter how hard we hit it!" Aaron exclaimed

"Damn it! It can't end like this!" Rex yelled

Vincent stared helplessly at Veruka who was no longer conscious. He felt his blood beginning to boil. "No! I can't let myself get angry!" He thought to himself "But what can I do, I have to protect Veruka." Vincent grew desperate he almost wanted to break down into tears. "Please I'd give anything to save her!" Vincent felt it rush through his body. His aura had awakened but he was not angry but desperate to save Veruka. The beam dispersed as his aura consumed him and created the same barrier as Rex and Aaron's aura had.

"But how? I'm not angry." Vincent spoke as his feet touched the ground.
Rex noticed Vincent behind them and he saw the massive aura he had several times before. "Vincent, I told you control your rage! We don't need you going berserk!"

"Rex, I'm not angry!" He replied

Rex froze and Pogy's words suddenly rushed back to his head. "I'd go far as to say any of his emotions hitting a fever pitch could trigger his powers." Rex came to realization, it wasn't anger that unleashed Vincent's powers this time. It was a different emotion that had hit a fever pitch this time.

"Then I won't ignore a blessing! Vincent with you we may just be able to beat him."

"I'll do whatever it takes!"

The three luacrios Rex, Aaron, and Vincent all approached Dark Oak gazing at the Darkkarain stone.

"Dawn will come! All together put your entire aura into it!"

The three of them pulled their arms and hands back as energy formed within them. They all thrusted forward launched three large aura spheres. The sphere all struck the stone, causing a massive blast.

"Did we do it?"

All of them gasped as they saw cracks in the stone beginning to rush across it. Dark Oak released an ear piercing roar.  The stone suddenly shattered into dozens of pieces. Dark Oak roared out as his form compressed and then shot outwards. Beams of light began to burst from Dark Oak's form as it began to appear as if it was on fire. Dark oak emitted one final roar. His body glowed with an intense light making a thunderous sound before turning pitch black again. With another thunderous sound Dark Oak's body glowed with light again. Dark Oak's body exploded with a thunderous clash and an eruption of a glorious light.

The light slowly began to fade. The black clouds in the sky had despised and were replaced by white clouds and snow began to gently fall from the sky.

The battle with Dark Oak was finished…

The six shadow Pokémon fell gently to the ground.

"Look." Rtas spoke

The discoloration on the six Pokémon Dark Oak had commanded began to dissolve into the air returning them to their true color.

"With Dark Oak gone, I guess they're no long corrupted." Jenna replied

Pogy was over by Bowen who was also free from Dark Oak now.

"Bowen, we're gonna get you help! Please just hold on!" Pogy exclaimed

"Poldi…" Bowne faintly spoke "Thank you… Thank you for setting me free…"

"You'd never have to thank me for that."

"Thank you for everything…"

"Bowen just hold on!"

"Thank…you…" Bowen closed his eyes and his body went limp

"Bowen!" Pogy yelled out

Vincent still immersed in his Aura walked towards Veruka who was still out on the ground. He kneeled down and took Veruka into his arms and stood back up. Veruka slowly came to.
"Vincent…"

"It's over Veruka, Dark Oak is gone."

"Vincent… I'm…"

"Shh. Rest your eyes Veruka it's all done."

Veruka closed her eyes. "I love you…" She whispered

"I already knew…" Vincent replied

Veruka lost consciousness once again. Vincent carried her over to where Jenna, Rtas, and Pogy were all at.

The snow continued to gently fall.
